Anastasia Whitaker obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2018. She currently holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University where she graduated from in 2021. Anastasia has several years of experience working with diverse populations. She worked as a Patient Service Specialist with Florida Cancer Specialist, a Survivor Specialist and Teen Outreach Counselor at the Shelter for Abused Women and Children where she worked with children, teens and adult survivors. Anastasia has also done work in the local hospital as a Case Manager/Medical Social Worker where she also worked with various clients preparing them for a successful discharge. Anastasia has is currently working in the school system as a Mental Health Provider, providing services to children of all ages.
Anastasia works with clients dealing with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, life adjustments as well as emotional and behavioral challenges. Some techniques Anastasia uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Therapeutic Play Techniques and Mindfulness to help serve her clients. Anastasia is also trained in EMDR. Anastasia works with her clients to provide a safe space while providing tools for each client to be empowered by enhancing and concentrating on their strengths.
